Apple Cinnamon French Toast

Join us in making a delicious Apple Cinnamon French Toast with Maple Butter.

Using When Pigs Fly Apple Cinnamon bread, found only in one of our six retail locations or online, this sweet and rich breakfast snack will quickly brighten up every lazy Sunday morning.

You will need:

Maple Cinnamon Butter

  • 1/2 stick butter, softened
    • 1 Tablespoon Maple
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon


  1. Whisk together softened butter, cinnamon and maple
  2. Set aside

French Toast

  • When Pigs Fly Apple Cinnamon Bread
  • 3 eggs, large, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • Powdered sugar


  1. Slice When Pigs Fly Apple Cinnamon Bread into 1-inch slices.
  2. Combine eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl. Whisk.
  3. Soak the bread slices in the batter for 10 minutes.
  4. Place 1 1/2 Tablespoons of butter in skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the bread in the pan until for about 2.5 minutes on either side, or until golden brown.
  6. Stack French toast on a plate, top with maple butter and powdered sugar.

Bonus: Add fresh berries or other fruit to your liking!
